What is LGBT+ History Month?
LGBT+ History Month is an annual observance in the held in February to celebrate and raise awareness of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender history, as well as to promote equality and diversity. It is a month-long celebration of the lives and experiences of LGBT+ people, and is marked by events, talks, exhibitions, and performances across the country.
Every year Schools OUT sets a different theme for LGBT+ History Month and provides free resources for education settings, businesses, services and organisations to help them celebrate and Usualise LGBT+ lives in their full diversity.
